The ZS251+ is an intelligent change over unit detects the presence of error on two independent incoming signals. Support applications for composite PAL/NTSC video, SDI video, ASI data, 20KHz analogue audio and AES/EBU audio. In the event that an error is detected on the current input, the change over unit will perform a clean switch to maintain the continuity synchronization of the signal flow.

     Other supporting interfaces available are for RS232 data, transmission line up to STM-1 where switching will be based on external alarm trigger or by level detection threshold setting. A general buffer port is made available for splitting of digital domain signal up to 270Mbit/s.
