The ZS256 Change Over Unit (COU) is designed specially for MPEG-2 video or audio codec operating on hot standby N+1 arrangements. Based on a modular concept, the standard 6RU rack system can be equipped with interfaces to handle multi-standards of video, audio and data applications.

     The unique equipment design based on high performance relays architecture allows the user to have a loop thru function to prevent a total system collapse. This security risk management function will help to eliminate single point of failure conditions, thus preventing possible disastrous events during transmission period. The COU deployment will ensure that the operator have high system MTBF.
